Looking for thoughts on these in my crew cab. Thinking it's going to sound better than a regular box

They're good, but for the money I'd go with a better sub and cheaper box. You looking at the single or dual 10 box?
The 10w3 is more of a punchy sub and doesn't play all that low at least not at any real volume so it may just be you had higher expectations than that sub will meet. Some of the cheaper boxes aren't the most rigid or airtight though. There's guys running jl audio w6 subs in the netaudio tall boxes with good results so if it was my money and I didn't want to go custom fibreglass that would be my choice. A net audio single 10 low box with a sundown sa10 will kick the crap out of the jl 10w3 single side box and free up an extra 100+ for a bigger amp since it'll take 750rms.I have the jl sub that goes in the single in closure but bought a cheaper box. Not sure if I just havent got my adjustments right or what but havent been all that impressed with it. Wish I would have just bought the jl box and sub as the set and payed a lil more. Will prolly play around with it more next month
Went with the upgraded 12Tw3 in a prefab, needs a little more volume so I run a passive radiator. Had to shim the sub 3/4” inch along with the seats.
There are a plethora of options as good or better than w3s in the ~500 watts RMS range, but you’re going to have to do more fab work than a plug and play stealthbox.

So do you lose the floor no matter the combo? I really use mine alot

Well if you’re not needing as much bass and want something much better than what the factory puts in, you could always go with the single stealth box and still retain half of your fold out floor with no modification hardly. Or you could do what BWL did and raise your rear seat to keep full functionality of it.
But yeah, it is kinda ****** that JL says you can retain your factory floor when you can’t even fold it out flat.
This is what it looks like unmodified. There’s plenty of clearance folded up in the first couple pics but folded out it looks like the roof of a house. Lol.
