I haven't come across anyone with them on a 1500. I've thought about doing it after I lift mine. But we shall see.
If anyone here has or has seen them on a 1500, pics would be great.
Happy wheeling!

I was going to do this, I even bought a set of LED lights and was about to do it myself on my 1500 and well I could never get myself to drill 5 holes in the roof of my new truck so I sold them.

I've added them to a few trucks. You gotta nut up or shut up with this job.
I agree, putting the drill to the roof of my truck was un-nerving as all hell.

But just pull that trigger!

The hardest part is going to be the headliner.
You can't remove the headliner from the truck w/o damage.
You can certainly pull the A pillars and get it to hang enough to do the job though.

DO IT DO IT DO IT!

I recommend a 3/8" pilot hole and a sheet metal punch instead of a 3/4" hole saw.
Also, tape the entire first foot or so of your roof to protect from all the little metal shavings. (I had the shop vac nozzle right there to catch most em).

A friend of mine just shaved the roof lights off his Peterbilt and replaced them with some Very tiny Amber LEDS. they are about the size of a dime but extremely bright. Looked pretty awesome and I dont think would look out of place on the roof of our trucks.

Do you guys know if there is wiring close by or would that only be on the 2500's to hook in to?
I would like to do this to but since I"ll probably never lift my truck it probably won't get done. I think they look great though.

I'd love to see pics of these. Sounds interesting.

Those are flush on the front of the truck though, right? I doubt those would work on the roof?

Yes they are fairly flush. Have about 140 degree visibility.
