Is it hard? I would hate to spend the $175 for their harness if its easy. Way cheaper. Thanks in advance.

The harness is a piece of cake and you don't have to splice into the OEM wiring and potentially have any problems there. I don't at all regret spending the extra for the OBD port harness.

I was thinking about the same thing, but I'd like to keep my OBDII port open for AlfaOBD.

Fired the round and bought the amp harness. Got it for $156. Normally they are $175. Still came out to $1400. Should have just bought the steps that come with it. Lol

I had mine installed since I did them right after I had back surgery and my installer charged less to order/install the OBD model than the hardware model. He himself had a 3500 and said the hardwire was a pain in the ass lol.

Me either! I figured if the diablo works on my truck and the 2013+ then the harness will work also. Learn something new everyday with these trucks.

That sucks. At-least these trucks ain't too hard to get apart and get to what you need, just takes time. If I had self installed my steps I would've preferred to go hardwired to avoid having to use an OBD splitter or playing musical OBD port.
