Purchased them a few weeks back when Amazon had them on sale (I think the same prices as on Prime Day?). Got the chrome version to match my chrome bumper and grille. Very easy to install, took about 15 minutes per side (being careful not to scratch the lens) and did not need to lift the truck. No errors in the dash and they are instant on and off.

You need to show us a pic from inside the truck at night to see the output on theses.

You guys are going to make me purchase these fogs. [emoji53] I'd be going for the black ones to continue the blackout theme.

Absolutely the worst surrounds ever on these lights. Careful during install. Leave bottom bolt off until last. Do side bolts loosely. Align. Make sure the little pivot point stays in the cheap inadequate frame design. Then slowly tighten down the side bolts. Add bottom bolt. Zip tie as needed after battling crap alignment knob assembly. End result.

stock headlights.

Interesting. I got mine back in May (from the place in Canada) and they came with the setup below (with the metal washer riveted behind the plastic).

Seller offered me a partial refund ($30) and suggested I source these parts and apply this fix to the lights.

Als0, I asked the exactly what "new version" means... Their response...

about the new version, I hope this could help: Our light is built with LED bulbs which are different from the stock halogen bulb in the market. That's why we call it a new version. There is some similar style design in the market but those are not our lights. Please don't be confused...

I got my fogs from Ess in Canada. Easy install with the tabs lining up.
But I received 2 sets of Morimoto HD Resistor 40w.
I installed one set on the passenger and just PNP on driver with no resistor. Both fogs seemed bright and no difference.

Anyone have experience with this ?2aa7e963cabff9480eb1aa9a4b5a215c.jpg

Those resistors are in parallel to the fog light bulb, so you won't see a difference I how bright the bulb is. The resistors are there to fool the BCM that the "bulb" is still good.
You can use the resistors or use AlfaOBD to set the fogs as LED so you shouldn't get a bulb out error

Thanks @crash68 - That answers that.

I have the Alfa ODB. I was searching through the forum https://www.ramforum.com/threads/alfaobd.123982/ but couldn't find where to clear the bulb out error. Any ideas ?

FYI, Just drove around for 30 mins with fog lights on. No dash lights on yet. Is it something that eventually comes up or should it of happened right away ?

If you have alfaobd you can set the fog lights to LED and you wont need those resistors at all. You can also disable foglight dropout and your fogs will stay on when you activate the high beams amongst other things.

I have had this thread bookmarked for at least a year now. The chrome in one of my fogs is now starting to deteriorate and I am looking to replace them. So, does anyone have a one year review on these?

I'd your looking for a great set of fog lights, go with the Diode Dynamics SS3 SAE Fogs Pro level. Really bright, wide coverage and the beam is kept low so it works good even in near white out snow conditions.

I appreciate the recommendation, but the fogs in the op have the look that I am gong for. I was looking for input on the longevity of these lights.
