Nada had 47k /50k private party.

I never buy or sale anything because a book says what it’s worth. But I do use it as references.

I have shopped around allot and I can’t find anything near my condition for the price.
Luckily it’s paid for so whatever happens happens.
but the wife is looking at a 17k toy hauler and I rather not tell her no. So hopefully it sells haha

paid $26,000 for a 14 sport cc 5.7 with navi , it had 50k on the clock. I drove it for 2 years and had 108k on it . Dealer gave me $24,500 so I traded it for a 2500 cummins

I use KBB, Edmund's, NADA for valuation. KBB is usually high, Edmund's middle, and NADA low, so I normally use Edmund's "True Market Value" regional valuation guide for negotiating selling and buying. Minimal hassles with both work for me.
KBB said $37,000 trade on my sins truck but he only got $29,000. Another dealer only wanted to give him $25,000. They have it listed on their site now for $49,000. It was only about $54,000 new. 2018 2500 SLT but has Outdoorsman Off-Road package with 4.10's with almost every option available but had 95,000 miles

Yeah, KBB seems "scammy" to me.....Dealers use it only to their advantage......mostly for selling, not buying.

I force 'em to negotiate both ways from Edmunds, or I walk.

That's crazy. I just went to Edmund's site and it's telling me my truck is worth $55.5K, and it never asked me if it has Ramboxes (it does). I paid just under $40K for it 1.5 years ago. Tempting to go shopping, but like many have already stated, I need a truck and any gains I'd realize (and probably then some) would be spent replacing it. Interesting market, though.

Didn't it have an options list to pick from?

geez. i could probably get $50-55 for mine. and it was only about $54 new...lol. Well sticker said something like $73,000 but that was Canadian. I only have 23,000 miles on mine with no carfax. Problem is I'd need a new one and that would be $70,000
Local dealer has a 2021 2500
I have mine listed on car gurus. According to them I’m almost 5k under market. Almost had it sold yesterday. View attachment 466035
Local dealer has 2021 2500 LB CC with chrome and snow groups 50 gallon tank, and some other options for $43k not including destination and not with every rebate under the sun subtracted. Think pricing is getting a bit soft just because people may be willing to wait a bit more now.

Had no luck on CarGurus at all. Only views. I sold quickly on Amazon Marketplace. Hate to admit it, but true. But - AM also brings in a lot of lowball hand-to-mouth buyers, so there's that. No matter what I put in the add, they just kept trying to lowball in a hot market until I got a knowledgeable buyer in about a week.

What’s the name of the dealer? Guy is picking mine up tomorrow got 43k. I’m going to be shopping for a Diesel at about the same budget. So it will be slightly used.

In real estate a 1030 exchange is not always better. Most yes it's ok to sell, pay taxes, then buy at the bottom.

Dealer wanted me to buy a E-torque Lonestar, 54K, give me 45K for MY 19 which is 3 years old tomorrow. There was a blacked out Laramie at 61K. I do not want e-torque, or halogen lighting, so the blacked out Laramie only choice with VVT no e-torque. NAH, I just bought a 8 year (really 5) Max care for a heck of a lot less than new truck, and my Bighorn has less than 18,000 on odometer. BOIRD stay put for now.

BOIRD - they want us old goats to buy the dude trucks too, cause that's all they got coming to inventory now. Despite we gots the monies. *sigh* Also why I have not moved. I'd do another Laramie Crew Cab with 6.4 and the funky new ZF 8 speed (despite the non-customer servicable design). I hear great things about that tranny over the old Chrysler 66RFE.

But then again, I'd have to do my upgrades all over again. Took me a year to get 'em all done. Esp. getting rid of that dumb, restrictive trans oil cooler thermostat.

Since I do very lil driving, I not fussing with the trans thermostat. If I was driving a lot, that be different. The Red Beast stays parked 95% to 98% of the time in front of house.

The only reason we would sell our 2018 is to get a 2500, but those are out of the question due to outrageous pricing. Hopefully in 3-4 years we can look at getting a clean used 2500 Laramie.

True, I don't drive near as much now retired and COVID, but when I do, often with friends and sons with loaded trailer. So don't wanna burn up that light Chrysler Tranny when I do. At least it's done now. Makes huge difference - lowers temp enough to double trans oil oxidation life.

Was offered $34,000 for my 2017 Ram 2500 a couple days ago when looking at a diesel. Paid $33,000 new on a sweet heart deal. Decided am going for a 6.4 with 8 speed. Newer diesels require to much maintenance money. Funny thing, 3/4 and 1 tons run about the same price. Had to find anything but friggin white these days. Still looking.
