Anyone use a "universal" heated seat switch to activate factory heated seats for a swap?

Anyone use a "universal" heated seat switch and relay to activate factory heated seats when do a swap/upgrade? I am considering purchasing a set of Laramie heated & cooled front and rear seats from a 2011 to install into my 2012 3500 ST.

It seems like this might be a viable option instead trying to use the factory switches, harness, and programming to make it work.
Maybe I am over thinking this and it is actually easier to use the factory wiring.

Thanks
Mike
