Are the mirror switched supposed to be lighted

I saw this thread and bought a switch a few weeks ago. Its the little things that make you go...ahhhh.
Stupid FCA!!!
I pretty much had it down by braille but this lighted switch is nice!!
Kinda expensive for a couple of lights but wth??
If I had known what lay ahead of when I bought it I just may have bought TP instead..

FWIW, my Infiniti and my wife's Lexus both have "non-lighted" mirror controls.

Its not an FCA thing....I think the manufacturers are all buying the same parts from the same company, so you end up with the same functionality (or lack thereof) on most vehicles.

The Jeep is the first vehicle Ive ever seen with lighted mirror controls, so, technically, we should APPLAUD FCA (cant believe I just said that).

I'm just here to see if anyone figures out a way to get illuminated switches for a Regular Cab - Sport - R/T truck ….
