If you have a 2500 then the air bag would replace the rear coils. If you have a 3500 then the air bags will work in conjunction with the leaf springs. I wish I would have gone with a regular rear suspension and then added aftermarket bags. I feels like mine rides rough. I did notice that if you have the auto leveling system the leaf springs come with 2 less than the regular rear suspension trucks. So I feel like that route would have been better had I known before I bought my truck.
