As the title says, I received a notice from U-Connect that there was a campaign on my truck for "autopark functionality. I read about the cruise control problem many FCA vehicles were subject to, but "autopark functionality" doesn't seem like it is the same. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve read about a Parksense system on certain 2019 Jeep models that provides some parking automation as part of the Uconnect 8.4 system, but haven’t heard anything along this line for RAM yet. Can you post the actual message you received?

I stopped by the dealership this morning and was able to make an appointment for next Tuesday. They said it could take as little as 20 minutes and could also take over three hours depending on what they find when then plug in. Depends on how many modules have to be flashed......... :mf_pcwhack:

Can you post a picture of the actual description of the campaign. There should be a pdf link on your campaign page. It will say “the problem is:...” and “what your dealer will do:...”. The reason I ask is, I’m also hearing that this includes a fix for the 32 gallon gas tank fuel level reading.

When I click on "UO5," I get an error message. When I talked to my service manager, he said that it is a multi step process. He said some folks will just have a 20 minute "look-see," while others will have different modules flashed. He blocked 3+ hours for my truck, but said I could be done within 20 minutes. That is all the info I have. I'll be much more informed next Tuesday! :)

I got a notice for autopark recall for enabling it and a notice for fuel tank calibration since I have the bigger tank. Both recalls were listed as optional, but covered by FCA. I'm hoping to get the fuel tank calibration, but not enable auto park.

Is this just for 2017+, or will this work for all 8spd equipped trucks?

So I was in the campaign for the cruise control thing, took it and got the recall done last week. Noticed yesterday after getting the mail my door didnt close all the way and wouldnt you know, my truck wouldnt move. I closed the door, had to put it back in park, and then back in drive to go. I tested it by opening the door when rolling and got the jerk of the auto park. My fiancee loved this, but I was a little upset as I liked NOT having it. I have never hit something with my door open, or the car ran away when I got out because I didnt park it..So I am a LITTLE upset that I went in to fix the cruise control, and got autopark out of it. I always do recalls, as soon as they come, as I want my vehicle safe for my family, but someone could have said this is ALSO going to enable autopark into it. Oh well.

The cruise control recall isn’t even released yet. The only thing that got done when you took it in is the U05 autopark. Just so you don’t think your cruise got fixed at the same time.

Ay yi yi. Well when I called the dealer to make the appt I said the cruise control recall and he said yes so thats what I was under the impression it was. Damn it. Oh well, I had to get my window re tinted for the fourth time (they fired the guy who did it 3 times previous), so I needed to make the trip anyway.

Out of curiosity, what's the campaign number for the fuel tank calibration?

Thanks,

Is there a way to disable It? The rental truck I got from enterprise is a 2018 Ram and it has that auto park feature. I accidentally discovered it and after some testing, it feels like the transmission would get damaged. I have no idea how it works, but that jerk can be pretty rough.
