Recently I purchased two 3" LED pods off of eBay which I intend on using as extra reverse lighting. I'd like to have them tucked up towards my frame or somewhere in that vicinity so that they are somewhat hidden. I want to see where others have mounted theirs so I can have a few options. I am itching to get this done because while I am wiring these up, I plan on finishing my 42" light bar wiring that is in my front bumper so that I can finally use that as well.

Currently this is my setup:
Feniex Cannon 120s in the reverse lights
Feniex Apollo F12s on a license plate bracket

The Feniex lights are by no means dim however, with the 5% tint on my front windows as well as in addition to the factory tint on the rears, my visibility is very restricted when looking out my window while backing up. With it being winter, putting down my window to see gets colder and colder each time lol.

Got these hooked up to my reverse lights. The 5% all the way around got a little to dark haha.

I just ordered a set of pods to put on my bumper. Just didn't get a chance to hook them up yet. I want them to my reverse lights and a switch!

I have a 2500, but I fabricated a simple L shaped bracket from flat stock. I bolted it to an existing hole in my frame an mounted LED cubes to it. If my Ram had painted bumpers, I think I would have mounted flush mount LED cubes in it. I was afraid that cutting my chrome bumper would have resulted in rust.

Wandell, so far that looks like the easiest/cleanest way while getting more light out from under the truck.

I'm really considering a 12" bar... Mounting options are slim without looking dumb. Something that could be used as a work light setting up a tent or fishing, etc..

I fabricated some L brackets for mine an mounted to the towing package. Once I knew I had a good fit I painted em black an they've been on a couple months with no issues. uploadfromtaptalk1453918048929.jpguploadfromtaptalk1453918066852.jpg

Could you show how/where you mounted those?

IMO

They come with a mounting bracket and nut/bolt. Measured an equal distance from the center of the hitch. Test fitted them with C clamps then drilled a hole on the bottom lip of the bumper.

here's my red 1500 with custom brackets, that thing throws out some serious light! and my 2500, cut the bumper and put a bit smaller, more reasonable lights in.

Do you by any chance know if this method will work on a 1500? And if so do you have measurements on the L bracket that I would need to use? I really don't want to drill into my bumper if I don't have to. And I like the way yours came out! Very clean look
