I plan to take my Bighorn with the Off Road Group package off road - shocker. Having a compressor on board to air up the tires after airing them down for off road activities is pretty much a must. I realize I can get a mobile compressor that either hooks up to the battery or plugs into the outlet in the bed, but is there a good location to permanently mount a compressor? If you have done this, please let me know where you found to mount the compressor. I do not have air suspension.

There has been at least one who mounted a small compressor in the bin behind the front seats and under floor. Also, there is room if you want to change out the stock intake for a Vara Ram, or Mopar Ram Air. That way the space previously used for the filter box becomes empty space and might be a good location for a compressor. Only other option might be in the bed, as under the hood is already pretty crowded.

If you have ramboxes you could mount one in there. Otherwise, if you're wanting it weather proof "maybe" behind the rear seat? Normally I'd suggest somewhere under the truck on the frame rail but if you're going to go mudding I'm not sure how well it'd hold up.

Check Kleinn for the air system (with or without air horns) as they offer a compressor and tank that bolts up behind the front bumper

I seen one too many under-bed mounted air tanks rupture to mount one on my truck. I have a 5 gallon compressor under the rear seat I plug into the console outlet when needed.

I didn't see the behind bumper kit. Not much room with an intercooler. Is that for a gasser truck? They offer some pricey stuff.
I fit my triples behind the right side front bumper. Was able to use an existing bolt too. And it's easily accessible and serviceable for the solenoid. The pic is from the ground looking up. I know, another crappy pic. Lol.

Good info. Thanks. Did you have to remove the bed to do this install?

He cheated....he made a whole new flatbed then re-did that to extend it after a recent huntin trip....lol(pic kinda looks familiar)
But if he says you can fit whatever in there..you probably can.
Not to much stops ole DILLIGAF from achieving something.
Hell, give him a gummy and watch him go...ever-ready bunny on steroids..lmao
