back door stuck shut

My driver's side back door on my '99 quad cab is stuck shut. Any fixes out there?

If I can get it open you'll need to replace the lower latching mechanism. Pretty common

Pull the door panel (PITA) and make sure the rods are still attached to the release lever mechanism. If one isn't, pull the release lever and manually pull up or down whichever rod is disconnected. That should get the door open assuming all else is in good shape.

On my 2002, the lower latch on the door was actually seized; so after I removed the door panel, I pull the release lever and then gave it a good kick from the rear seat; that got it open. I removed the latch, lubed it up repeatedly and worked the latch back and forth until it was smooth. All done.
