Back to shop for lifter issue after swap

Well….. hoping it’s install as my truck had been getting louder and louder after the TSP stage 2 cam install and after 4 go’s at the initial install garage, she’s at another shop. Truck was tapping louder and louder from Cylinder 3. Go to a point where I couldn’t drive it of late. No codes, just horrid sound. Now I’m hoping it an install issue so this previous shop can handle the labour costs. Estimated $900 Canadian to remove head and inspect lifters, replace as needed. Annoying!
Anyways I’ll try and get a video up to YouTube and then here so you’s can hear this horrid noise. This first shop that did the install says “weak lifter”.

Did you use Texas Speed lifters? My opinion is there lifters are weak. I used there lifters when I did a cam swap and they were always noisey. I think there is a video from MMX on youtube showing they are some chinese junk. I ended up just trading my truck in for a new 2021 Warlock. Let the mods begin.

Well it’s the rocker arm assemblies on driver side that’s shot. Anyways pulled trans pan to change out fluid and found overdrive clutches looking back. lol go to rebuild the trans for a 3 time…or…. 8 speed time

Trucks going to be down until into the new year, so the wife’s 2018 Yukon it is for the first part of winter here.

No one around this area or down southern Ontario is willing to do the swap. Basically don’t know how it’s done and don’t have the time to do it from what Ive been told.
At least their all honest unlike some shops I have been too. Well I’ll have to look into bringing up a transmission from
The states. I have two more shops that I’m waiting for a response from about building a custom 545rfe to hold 600hp up here in Canada. I’ll know next week.
