Recently purchased a 2014 express 1500 5.7 hemi.. im very happy with except I believe this has teh base stereo with sirius... I have a Kenwood DDX-814 that was in my car I sold prior to this purchase.. I understand I need the following to install the head unit...

Axxess XSVI-6523NAV interface for wiring.
the new bezel to acept the 2din tuch screen
antenna adapter..

My bckup camera is in my mirror. The Axxess XSVI-6523NAV interface lists the output for the backup cam woudl this be correct and would it also show from teh Mirror and the HU?

Anyone else using the kenwoon DDX-814?

Thanks

William

I have heard yes. That will interface with current signal and retransmit to aftermarket headunit.

Did you ever get this sorted out? I am installing a Kenwood DNX891HD head unit in my 2014 Dodge Ram 1500, I currently have the OEM back up camera with the mirror monitor and would like to also have it show on the Kenwood. Been searching for several hours on how to tap into the mirror monitor to have backup camera display on the Kenwood without much luck. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? I have the bezal, interface and antenna wiring just need to know where to tap into the oem backup camera.

Thanks

more than likely you will have wire the cam yourself to the radio all the cams are just a video + and a shield wire.

do a search of the forum for tech authority website. you can put in your vin and it give you all the colors and locations for that cam.

Here you go. Very easy to do. Did this with my alpine ine-z928hd. Just ran the rca into the backup camera input on the alpine.

Got the Kenood DNX891HD installed and the rear view camera wires tapped into the rearview mirror monitor just as 1500Ram12 described and all works great thanks again.

Next question is there a way to get vehicle information to display on the Kenwood screen? I do not have SWC for the radio but do have all the vehicle information controls on the steering wheel. Is this a possibility, if so what do I need to connect to the Kenwood. Will a Idatalink work for this? I don't see one for the vehicle I have.

Probably dumb questions:) but thanks
