I am looking at a 2022 3500 Bighorn and am looking to delete the bed since I do not need it. I know if I delete the bed I lose the spare tire unless I add it back in as an option. My dealer tells me I will still have the spare tire carrier, but I'm not convinced that he is correct. Does anyone here know if it will be included or not? I am going to putting a flatbed on, but would still like to carrier the spare on the stock spare tire carrier if possible.

Thank you for any information you can share!

Which cab configuration are you going with? 2 or 4 wd? I can do some checking for you.

I don't see why they would omit the tire rack or the spare

those things are below the frame

Thanks Audiophile, I'm going with 3500 4WD, 6' 4" bed (will be putting 7 foot flatbed on). 6.4 with 4.1 ratio.

GTyankee, I agree, I don't know why they'd omit the spare or carrier either, but it's clear the spare is deleted with the bed delete. I'd really like to retain the carrier. My dealer says they "think" the carrier is still include, but his makes me a little nervous.

A bed delete is only a $400 credit, get the bed and sell it. You'd be ahead of the game from adding spare tire and carrier.
