What’s a good set of slotted rotors along with brake pads for 2015 Ram 1500?

Here is our go to option for RAM owners. This kit has great stopping power while being low dust, durable, reliable and great looking at a reasonable price! This kit has been very popular not only among RAM owners but many other vehicle owners. This kit has proven itself across many types of vehicles. It is a great long lasting performer!

Is there a reason you need slotted?

To be honest no and yes. I like the look of slotted. Sometimes I do some towing in the highway and figured the cooling of slotted would come in handy when needed

Gotcha. To me, for braking while heavy towing, I want more rotor, which means no slots. That's just my unscientific option on that.

In terms of which pad/rotor brand is best? There's so many variables there to me, one can't say. A particular brand that works well for a Charger may be a flop on a Ram.

For my stuff, I price online and go towards the lower cost end because living in the rust belt is hell on even the most costly brake parts.

Unless your really pushing the towing limits of the truck, you'll probably benefit more from liking the look than needing a slotted rotor. Keep in mind slotted can make more noise over solid rotors. Even with the slots if your over braking while towing, your still going to lose braking ability.

The rotors shown are also drilled. I've read several times on here to avoid drilled rotors for towing?

Been running slotted, drilled and coated rotors with ceramic pads for 2 years now and am totally impressed. These things will stand it on it's nose. The stock brakes never felt good and by a 1 1/2 years the rotors were rotten.Pads had lots left but never really had any grip to them.Acted a lot like the red GM lifetime pads they used to sell, lasted forever but just didn't work well.Rotors do make a slight noise at times but nothing annoying.Highly recommend these brakes.

BTW I used Max Brand off of e-bay.Was right around $250 Can at the time for all 4 corners.

I highly recommend the EBC slotted/dimpled rotors with green stuff pads. I have had them on my truck now for 25,000km and the difference from stock is amazing. I won’t ever use any other brand.

EC2BF44D-BED2-454F-98ED-522B56A1CE7D.jpeg Slotted rotors help keep an even flat surface on the pad. Gives pad debris a place to be deposited and swiped away. Drilled rotors main advantage is to dissipate heat rapidly. This is why you see most every real performance vehicle has some variation of the two or both. Lessens brake fade and maintains a faster ready braking ability.
9 times out of 10 they will outperform non-slotted/drilled rotors given same pad material. You will notice a firmer, more consistent braking.
They also look pretty badass behind your wheels.

The EBC pads are plan B for me. Heard lots of good reviews.

I went with Nick's recommendation (GotExhaust.com) and ordered the pads/rotors from him, the ones he posted above. Their rotors have a good coating on them, even though its not the black/dark gray kind you see frequently on others. We shall see! Pads came in last week, rotors should be coming this week.

I couldn't beat his price on these, and he more than price matched another vendor for some Fox coil-overs for me. Excellent customer service!

So not to slide a bit on the topic, but for pedal firmness, it's too bad Earls or Russell don't make braided stainless line kits for our trucks. I've used their kits on other vehicles and firmer pedal up.
