I'm not who you asked there, but I did a similar thing. I wired my reverse LED pods to both 12v power and the reverse light circuit. I used an on-off-on switch, one side always on power from the trailer 7 pin connector, other side reverse light power again from the 7 pin. The switch output goes to a relay powered by the trailer 7 pin hot, so I can flip the lights on manually from the switch, or flip the switch the other way and they turn on in reverse. Middle switch is off. I did it this way to not feed power back to the reverse circuit when I want the pods on manually. How do you have them wired up to prevent power coming from both sources at the same time?
I posted this before but still a good mount for me. 2 years plus and now problems with anything breaking !
I cut the gear part off at the bottom of the goose neck
and filled the hole with 2 part epoxy putty and stuck a wall anchor in the putty for a better screw connection !
The flat plastic go off E bay , may be able to get at Lowes , I had extra goose necks so 0$ for me ,
But you might spend $10,00/$15.00 if you have to buy parts
Mounted in the dash pocket and used existing holes to mount, I did need a couple longer screws to mount which I had !
I read all 295 pages and now I have a list of 65 mods I want to make. This thread is dangerous!

Is that by chance, the Nilight brand? They have one that I just added to my wish list for about the same cost.I recently bought off amazon a 3 60" led strip bed light kit. It was like $35. It lights up like the sun under my tonneau. Might be my favorite mod so far!

I can’t take credit for this, a fellow member did this back in 2018 and I happened on his post. It is very helpful and well presented if anyone interested.
