if you unplugged the battery this is the reason why you feel that the truck ran different, it will self learn again and come back to what it was before.

possibly but I'm forever disconnecting the battery as Ive been doing a new headunit, wires ran for amp, subs, etc. New to this so anytime I even look at something electrical the negative gets disconnected, lol

Hope that worked... Don't mind that extra wire tucked into the fender. It's not connected to anything yet, just wires ran for the amp I'll hopefully be installing this weekend

I ran grounds from the engine to frame/engine to negative battery post/frame to negative battery post/ both fender grounds up towards the headlights/ a ground to the computer on the pass side firewall/ ground from back corner of box to frame/ground to throttle body, then ran hot feeds from alternator to positive battery post/from positive battery post to fusebox.

That was before the battery got relocated, lol.Relocating the battery to the back corner of the box added a whole bunch more heavy cable, lol. Basically takes 2 runs of cable to make it NHRA legal, the master kill switch has to kill the fuse box on these trucks to shut the truck down via the rear mounted kill switch

Going back to my Jeep days....Jeep put what they call a fuseable link between the alternator and battery.
It was a puny little thin wire. I am sure it was there for a reason, but I had too many accessories so I replaced it with a descent gauge.

no real reason to remove it and the stock power line has some fuses on it going to accessories so that's a no go for that one. If I ever need to go back to stock I just take out the wires I did put in and leave the original wires right there since I never uninstalled them. Otherwise for a cleaner look , I would have taken them out.

THANKS!
