3.27 gearing doesn't exist in the Ram world, and Sport's come with 3.92's stock.

You're definitely correct on the 3.27 not being an option, however I think you're incorrect about 3.92's being stock on the sports. I had 2 sports and looked for a 3rd before I bought my current longhorn, and they are a lot harder to find with 3.92's than they are with 3.21's. Like 80-90% had 3.21's each time I was looking for my next truck, very frustrating.

JoeCo is correct, Sports are not "automatic" with 3.92 gearing. However, one would have thought so for a couple years there, as many dealerships only ordered their Sports with 3.92 gears. This was to give them extra... sportiness. :)

Don't blame them. I love the gearing in my Ram, and won't ever buy another Ram without it.

I wish dealers had done that in our part of the country, finding 3.92's here was difficult to say the least. I do agree though, as a sport they should have the 3.92's as standard. I'm also on my 3rd ram with this setup (3.92 lsd) and also wouldn't switch that up for the 3.21's or open diff.

i misspoke above as well about the 327 321 gears. as i was typing i couldnt remember which it was and glanced at the post that said 327. i agree sports should have come with 392 and lsd standard. unfortunately my 14 sport has neither. def a big difference between 392 and 321, imo
