Just less than 4 years/40k miles and my Bilstein 5100's seem to have failed. My front end bounces up and down like a rabbit on crack! Anyone else have a problem with theirs? I know these have a lifetime warranty, I've contacted the vendor and I'm waiting to hear from back from them.

6 years and 44k on mine in the Ram, still tight as a drum (and dry, no leaks). Have had Bilsteins on several other vehicles including close to a decade on my wife's Mustang and never killed one.

I've read a couple times that folks in really cold climates have killed them but i'm not sure what specifically accelerates their death since it doesn't happen to everyone in cold climates. We don't get much below 0F here.

Hopefully they'll help you out.

I haven't heard of any issues. Have had mine on since spring of 2015, have 112k miles on the truck - probably 90k-100k on the shocks without issues.

Parts fail unfortunatley. With that said, bilstein are good shocks and I have had no issues with mine. I see fox and King shocks at 5x(+) the price failing more then these do.

Have had Bilstiens on my Dodge 2500 for 15 years and nearly 100,000 miles. Runs in everything from +95 to -50, still going strong. I would bet Bilstein will help, yours sound defective.

What kind of mileage is everyone seeing for the stock dampers? My truck is squeaking like its got 150k miles on it so debating upgrading to some Bilsteins to see if that helps the issue.

Honestly, if I had known how much the Bilsteins improved the ride, I would have put them on at mile 1 and tossed the new OEM shocks. It is a cheap upgrade that will absolutely amaze you at the difference it makes. I like them so much I ordered the Off Road package on the new 2500 just to get the Bilstein shocks it comes with.
