Bilsteins on back order... alternatives?

The Bilstein 5100s are on backorder until the middle of october, any alternatives you guys recommend? I just traded for a 2014 CC Express. I had a 2011 that I leveled with the rough country kit, seemed to stiffen the ride up a bit so I wanted to try a different route this time. Plus it doesn't help that I've been reading about issues with ball joints from the spacers. Thanks in advance!

Amazon's got 'em in stock. I just ordered a set last month and got them in two days.

Amazon does not have them instock. I looked a week and a half ago and they were 3-6 weeks estimate, now they do not give an estimate.

Everywhere I have talked to said backorder. Earliest estimate is August sometime, but no one knows for sure. 4wheelparts shows instock online, but they do not have them instock.

That said, I went with a basic level kit. Ill upgrade later on when they become available again.

I found some that say in stock at THMOTORSPORTS for $84 a piece with free shipping. We'll see if I get that dreaded email tomorrow morning...

just so you know the issue with ball joints is not a spacer problem or i should say limited to spacers. You have the same ball joint issues with the bilsteins.

i like my rancho set up. the adjustable shocks are nice, lets your set the ride how you want it.

I went with the ProComp pro runners and am extremely happy with their performance and look. I highly recommend these and with the $80 rebate card its $280 for front and rears, netted over 3" of lift in the front

It appears that they are in stock at 4WheelParts. I'm going to order a pair and I will update if I have any issues with shipment.

The Bilsteins I ordered from THMOTORSPORTS were indeed on backorder. Cancelled that order. As far as Ranchos go, they don't have any listed for a 2014 ram. I'm guessing that has something to do with the UCA/BALL JOINT issue. Guess I'll just wait it out, maybe chrysler will have a recall?

4wheelparts is on backorder. Use a Credit Card so they dont hold your bank funds forever if you do try it.

Also, as far as the UCA goes, I have not had any issues yet. Seeing a lot of mixed reviews about the UCA ball joints. We will see long term. If I see them start coming apart, Ill jump on the UCA bandwagon.

There are a lot of sites claiming to have them in stock. Its not about looking. Put in your order and use a credit card as most likely, it will be cancelled.

rancho lists the 2014's on their website. 2009-2014 all use the same shocks. i doubt chrysler will be issuing a recall since its the ball joints are only an issue when you level the truck, not stock.
