Pretty sure I've seen posts on here before about this, just can't find it. Looking for suggestions on a high quality handgun safe that will fit in the lower front seat center compartment. Any help would be appreciated.

I agree, I don't care for the fingerprint style either. Mine has four finger grooves that you must enter a correct sequence of touching with your fingers. Also has a key for use if the 9V battery goes dead. It is a nice fit in the lower console. One issue is that there is no place to connect the anti theft cable to in the lower console. I probably could do some drilling or come up with a work around if I wanted to. It basically is to CYA if you are forced to leave the firearm in the vehicle or are traveling through one of the ********* States. When legal the firearm is more readily available to me. Not in the gun vault. I am pretty happy with the Gunvault.I have the gunvault center console, not fingerprint tho just the combo.
Safe itself is awesome, not a fan of the fingerprint ones.
I purchased and installed this Locker Down safe. Upgraded to the touchpad for an extra $50. Excellent safe, fits like a glove into console w/o the need to modify anything.I'm looking at this one. Goes in the center console. Haven't pulled the trigger (see what I did there) on it yet, but plan to here in the next couple weeks.

I have one of those gun magnets in mine that keeps it secure.I have a question for those using these: do they have enough foam or anything else inside to prevent the gun moving and changing orientation? As in washboard roads, no roads, or minor collisions?
I’d only use one if it would keep the muzzle oriented towards the engine compartment regardless of movement by the truck.
I have never noticed any movement occurring in mine. In fact, I have at times placed two handguns in the vault simultaneously and when opening they had not come into contact with each other. I was not off roading however.I have a question for those using these: do they have enough foam or anything else inside to prevent the gun moving and changing orientation? As in washboard roads, no roads, or minor collisions?
