Sadly few oils cert the fca spec, if you look at the poll of what ram forum uses pennzoil is the most popular and is likely one of the if not the best choice for the hemi. Might want to consider PUP as well, but PP would keep your warranty worries away, keep receipts and log into in a book. PUP is cheap in the amazon, I buy it regularly for around 20 bucks a 5 liter jig, when it's on sale as in several times a year, I just stock up. It's only 25 bucks right now, plenty worth that. 5 dollars a qrt for PUP, worth it x2.
Ok thanks for the info.Ask the dealer, everyone is different. Most likely your dealer will have pennzoils, they have a relationship with fca.
Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. I seen K&N filters at Walmart. They looked heavy duty.I've had good wear numbers with PP 5w-20. Many here run 5w-30 oils with great results too! Don't skimp on the filter either. I personally have had good results with Wix XP but the front runner here is the Royal Purple filter. At any rate, dig through some of the oil posts here....there's certainly no shortage of reading material!

sample 28 bucks, you need to add 10 for tbn, and you need to make sure sample bottle is full for one of their tests. How much does this cost to have your samples tested from Blackstone?
2016 Ram 1500 3.6 V6 test came in today. I switched from Mobile 1 full synthetic to Walmart Super Tech Full Synthetic. 2nd oil change so this is 100% Walmart Super Tech. Since the 3.6 V6 has the easy swap cartridge filter on top of the motor and I usually run UP TO 10,000 miles OR 6 months, whichever comes first... and change the filter at 5000 miles. Since I swap the filter at 5000 miles, the oil cleans up a lot with just the filter change. Blackstone says 9500 miles or possibly more.
Looks outstanding, how many miles on truck? I wouldn't change a thing. Blackstone says it's ok to go to one tbn, but other paper out there suggests that changing it at 2tbn is a safer interval. I'd say what you have going on is perfect.
That may be the best uoa on a near 10k mile interval hemi I have seen. PUP continues to be the top oil for uoa's. Wear just keeps coming down.
it's in kmIs it miles or kilometers? In the top right it says 9144 km, but I can't tell on the chart if it's miles or kilometers? Even in kilometers, that's almost 6000 miles.
Still excellent wear numbers, even at 6k miles.
Just look at this thread, the average is likely double those numbers for those miles.
