My last redline 5k mile interval I sent in because it was free thanks to Sinister who seams to have left ram forum, my tbn was 6.4, lol. It was a waste of a uoa as far as setting an oci. 6.4 tbn means I had like 10k miles in the bank.

Best thing you can do Adam, go back and read the results in this thread, you will see how good your hemi is. I bet your hemi is as good as badass hemi, but he is on PUP 5w30, so on paper his will look better...

Does the hemi have any issues at all? Is there a reason you want a 5k mile interval? The issue with getting a sample only at 5k miles leaves a large hole of information if you want a longer oci. Pretty much any oil will get you 5k miles.
No issue I am aware of,just thinking sooner versus later, do you think it would be better to go 7.5 to 8k & thank you for your time & advice I really appreciate both!

If it were me, number one and foremost, you just got real good info on your hemi and you invested in that info and you should feel pretty good about it. This is nowhere near hemis that tick.

Then, I would run 7500 miles for sure this oci, trust me redline will take that, then skip an analysis, run another 7500 miles and then get a uoa with tbn. Something happens- some say ions leach or extra aw additives whatever, where the first uoa of redline is a throwaway, so why do it? It is torture, you pay a lot for a top oil and it is worse, lol. But, it will have nothing in common with long term uoa results of redline, look in this thread at hemi's with similar miles to yours.

I just gave you a couple suggestions, don't take them personal, but when you see badass hemi's uoa you see why I like PUP, and in uoa after uoa the same thing with PUP, wear numbers trend low, even at Bobs.

I like PUP because it's cheap and arguably the best bang for your bucks here in canada when they have the $10/jug rebate.

Can get 10L pup5w30 for $50cad tax in after mail in rebate. Eventually I will try redline, probably when the motor gets older. Redline rarely goes on sale and when it does, its about $55/4L vs $25/5L (pup).

I wish I had splurged more on oil filters but I had already bought them in bulk.

What’s the time frame it takes for Blackstone to get your analysis kit out to you? I’m Located in northern Ontario Canada and first time requesting an oil analysis from Blackstone.

They usually email me the results in about 2 weeks. I would imagine this is longer now due to the virus

This will be my first time to use their services. Is there anything I should look out for or avoid?

Not really. As you can see from the other reports they've done, the descriptions provide a decent amount of detail. I've emailed them about specific metals in my report and they explained in more detail as well.

Given that you have a 2020 RAM, your wear metals will probably be high due to the initial break in, however they should notice that and give a fair comparison to other trucks/engines with the same mileage.

I finally received my sample kit and doing my first test come October. Looking forward to seeing what’s going on inside the engine with 138xxx miles. I’ll post results whenever they get in.
Nothing alarming happening now with the engine, and running pretty good. Have the Redline 5W30 and Lube Gard. Looking to cam the Ram in the next couple
Months though. I’ll get this tested first and see what is in the oil.

Looks like pyb from factory. or maybe their blend has 220ppm moly, interesting. Not a modern synthetic oil for sure as Mag level suggests not sn+. Anyhow, like most young engines you can't really gauge the wear. I would recommend tbn next time, even at 7k miles.

Just got my first UOA back from Blackstone. Sample was at 111,100 miles. Was pleasantly surprised.

Doesn't say the oil but by additives looks like redline or something similar. Anyhow, wear is as good as it gets. visc, mag and moly looks off a bit for redline.

running a mix?

For the first 105k miles I ran 5W20 Pennzoil Platinum with a few Mobile 1 changes early on. This UOA was done after my first oil change after switching to Redline 5W30. So yes, Redline was tested but the change was recent.

Thanks for posting, those wear numbers as good as hemi wear gets. Man 10k miles but very low wear, looks good. I'd say only knock I see is the oils fault, for whatever reason that tbn is not supporting a longer oci. I'd stick with 10-11k mile interval if it were me.
