I just bought a 2022 Ram 3500 with a 6.7 Cummins engine it did not come with the block heater cord does this mean it is a accessory? You would think if I needed one it would have come with it

Yes, starting in MY22 it is a dealer installed option. Cannot be added at the factory. My truck has one (2016 1500 Outdoorsman) because it began it's life in Canada. I live in Oklahoma and have used it three times in the 5 years that I have owned it.

If your Ram came with Block Heater
Look at places like the website

or
a KATs Block Heater Cord

invest in an engine block heater if you live in a climate that regularly reaches temperatures at or below 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

^^^^^Spot on.

Pretty much all Canadian pick ups pome with block heaters. The newest FCA stupidity is putting on heater cords that are 1.5' long on some of the 1500s that have to come out the front wheel opening to plug in or you have to raise the hood each time. Not long enough to come out the grill anymore. I can tell you if I got a shorty cord on mine, my 2500 came with a normal length cord, they would be replacing it with a proper length one. If there was no block heater installed they are not that much fun to do. I would pay to have that done.
