ive added turbos to several cars but now venturing out to add a roots style supercharger to my 09 1500 4.7L, mostly due to the weight of my truck and that dead spot in certain speeds. hoping the roots SC will help with its fast boost capabilities. ive looked at sourcing parts but as i am a mans man would never buy a kit. i must piece one together....and im cheap, cost half what a kit would. im only shooting for crank 425hp which equals about about 34lb injectors.
im going little old school using FMU unit increasing fuel psi per lb of boost while msd ******* timing. for the low 6-10lbs boost anticipated i think this will be adequate control with a good tuner. this is my daily driver not looking to burn it down.
being this is my first swing at a mopar motor anyone have any tips. ive already figured out mopar works a little differently when i had to by a link system just to install my touch screen radio...very odd, $100 just so i can turn off my radio.
help needed: tuner with on the fly adjustments thats is boost friendly
???? think of more if anyone actually reads this lol
