Just wondering what bore solvent everyone uses for cleaning rifle & pistol barrels and why you chose it? Thanks.

Hoppes No. 9 is my choice. I started using it years ago at the recommendation of a buddy of mine and it has never failed me.

I've tried other solvents but none that I tried did a good job and it took forever to remove copper.

Hoppes No. 9 does an excellent job of removing lead, copper and other fouling materials in a short period of time.

    I use "viper" cleaning products.
It's always done my right. And I chase it with a bore snake.
I have a synthetic oil/lubes made by a local company they have a texas logo on the bottle. Its super slick and bonds to the parts. Awesome lube.

Hoppes #9 seems to work as good as anything and reasonable priced.
