Yep, great choice. I had one on my truck for a few months and it always sounded great. Almost the perfect combination of interior/exterior sound.

Kudos to you for your writeup on all your swappo changos, very informative! I had purchased my Borla before you did your writeups, just waitng on a break in work to get my mufflex D18 swapped and Borla installed

That made me laugh...."muffler man". I guess it's true in a sense. Glad you found my write up informative. I know we all hear things differently, but hopefully it will help some folks with muffler decisions.

Dude swap them now....you're going to like the difference.

True that on everyone has a different concept on whats the perfect tone!
So many choices, so many tones and damn if you havent tried almost all of em!
I have 5" tips so hopefully they wont alter the Borla too much!
I had Borla on a 69 mustang and V8 70 XJ6 jag and loved them which promted my decision on my 5.7!!

I used 5" tips with my Borla.....awesome sound. The larger tips didn't bother me until I put the Flowmaster on and started getting this hollow gurgle sound that I didn't care for. The larger tips sound GREAT with the Borla.

Im very interested in doing this. Did you buy just the muffler or a complete cat-back system? Did you install it yourself?

That muffler wont work for your exhaust. that is 3" in and 2, 2.5" out. that is for a 5.7. there isnt a pro xs that will work on the 6.4. We have a delete pipe option and the Solo MR400 for the 6.4 both sound great.

both options are listed here
https://gotexhaust.com/c-1183874-ram-owners-preferred-products.html

Considering automakers get a ton of profit from the HD trucks and will continue to make more of 'em, Borla should consider rectifying this oversight...if (or when?) I upgrade to a PW, I'd certainly run a ProXS on it. The one under my Reb is sweetness.

So, ive been searching for days now on purchasing just this muffler and all I can find are the universal ones. I dont want an entire cat-back system.

Can somebody, Anybody, point me in the right direction?

You want PN 40349 if you have single in and dual out exhaust. It will have to be welded in.

Or you can make your own clamp in version. Only costs about $220 total to do yourself

Do these mufflers “break-in” like comparible mufflers (ie Magnaflow)?

I just had my LTs and custom true duals installed this weekend. We used an X pipe and 2 Borla Pro XS Mufflers. I’m curious if these are going to change tone much over the next couple thousand kms like the Magnaflow does.

Thank!

They wont break in much. You might notice a very small difference over time but it wont be much.

Anyone interested contact me for pricing, we usually have them in stock

I figured so since the internal packing is different over Magnaflow.

So far I like these. I forgot how cool true duals sound...it’s been awhile for me.
