Freshly wet you can use paint thinner, but good way is to sand it off and prep it again for your new job

It isn't fresh it's been on there since last summer but it didn't survive the alaska winter and it all cracked up and chipping off now, looks pretty bad. Good news is I just wash and waxed the rest of it and so it looks nice everywhere else haha

Probably use pressure washer to get rid of the loose paint then sand and prep and repaint.

If it needs to be totally stripped down use aircraft remover or an equivalent paint stripper, it'll speed up the process (I know I hate sanding, hand, machine or otherwise). Once you let the stripper do the bull work, just sand the crap out of it and proceed with the refinish process from square one. I've become a big fan of paint stripper.

Hit it with a pressure washer, then use a stripper that's safe for plastic. Once it's down to bare plastic and right before and I mean right before you paint it, you need to use an adhesion promoter. That's most likely the reason it peeled to begin with.

Just for grins and anyone else wondering about paint removal it can be done. Stripped it back down to the chrome.

Plenty of people have done it. In other news I finished swapping all my dash lights out with LED bulbs today. So there's a win.

That doesn't mean it was done right. In order to do it right, all of the chrome needs to be sandblasted off and the proper prep done if you expect it to last any length of time.

I know you can do it but did you sand down the chrome and use etching primer? You really need to use something like 60 or 80 grit paper and then when it is totally sanded to a very rough finish, work your way up with finer sand paper to maybe 220 grit. The etching primer is a main key to doing this and it hold up.
