Congrats BD! From looking at the pics, I would think the airbags are appropriate. It looks like the front is higher than the rear now.

I had a 2006 2500 with the 5.9 CTD and pulled an 11K 5th wheel ... no problem. Yet I always wanted to jump up to the 3500. Like you, it was a weight in my mind.

Sold the 5'er and the the truck. I really miss them both. Although, now I have a 2014 1599 Longhorn with the 5.7 Hemi. I love this truck but am considering trading it for a 3500 CTD and getting another 5th wheel.

So happy for you. Truly God has blessed you!

Thank you, I should have gotten a 3500 ctd years ago but I didn't want to or didn't think I really needed a 3500, man I was kidding myself and I'm glad that the Lord had one waiting for me. The kind I wanted brand new 2018 with only 19 miles on it and everything, the 3500 is a SLT but this SLT has more option than my Big Horn it just doesn't have heated seat and steering wheel.

Do you think that I should get airbags? I'm thinking that if I get them the noise of my 5th wheel will ride too high.

Thank you all for all of your comments, I'm still loving it and I should have done this a long time ago, I'm hoping to have many years of use.

Good job big daddy. We got a helluva deal on our 2018 3500. Big upgrade over our old tried and true 01 2500.

Yes sir and thank you, I believe that it was waiting for me to pick it up, it had most of all what I wanted and the price was smoking and I didn't want to pass it up.

I would definitely get 5000lb airbags and a Wireless One Controller. It looks like maybe your 5th wheel hitch is not all the way to the bottom, if it is adjustable that is.
