I have a 2017 RAM 2500 with the 6.4 gas Hemi. It has the keyless ignition (push button start). When the vehicle is started you can feel a kickback through the brake peddle. In other words with your foot on the brake and then push the start button there is an immediate hard like pulse you can feel through the brake peddle. Have had it to dealers under warranty twice now and they say it is normal. I had a 2016 RAM 1500 with the same system and did not have that issue when starting. Has anybody else experienced this issue and if so did you find a resolution. When I google the problem I get nothing.

My 2018 6.4 does the same thing and mine is key ignition only. I just leave my foot off the pedal when starting.

Your 1500 had vacuum assisted brakes. Your 2500 likely has hydroboost. It’s normal for the hydroboost vehicles.

I will give that a try. Thanks for the tip. Just feeling that feedback is kind of annoying.

Several have responded that it is normal for the 2500. Good to know. My experience with dealers has been if they can't figure something out they tell you it is "normal" Ha Ha. I guess in this case it is. Thanks for the information.

Ive noticed this periodically as well with my ‘16 2500. Its fairly sporadic, though. My half ton doesn't do it at all. I have also noticed it with my wifes yukon denali... that seems to do it more often than my truck.
