I have a 2012 1500 with a 2.5 leveling kit. I plan on getting 35s, will I need a new brake kit for bigger tires aside from more braking power?

Cool. Just wondering if new rotors/calipers and pads would be needed.

I have 295/65/20’s on my truck; they’re 3/4” taller the. 35’s. I had 285/65/20’s at this time last year. I was wishing my brakes worked better. Of course I wish they worked better with the oem tires on it. About this time last year I put Powerstop slotted and cross drilled rotors and their Z36 pads on my truck. I did the recommended break in procedure. They are a huge improvement over the crap that comes on our trucks. With 35’s I highly recommend the powerstop Z36’s.

Ran the Z36 package on our 4Runner after larger tires and did the same on my Ram 1500. Much better and haven't been able to get them to noticeably fade yet (I'm in the Poconos).

That said, I've heard great things about R1 rotors and with the coupon that Nick included above, it looks like the full R1 setup can be had for a tad cheaper than the full Z36 set.
