I decided to change my brakes because my vehicle shakes a little in the front when I apply the brake. I had my rotors resurfaced/turned at O'reilly's, put in the new brakes. Just as it seemed too easy. Now my brake light flashes for some unknown reason. I put on the parking brake and removed it so I know 100% its not that. I test drove it, pumped the brakes and stopped perfectly. I have no idea what is causing the brake light to flash?
please give me some guidance if you have any info on this.
Thanks
Oscar

I checked my fuses, and I did a hard reset to the system hoping flashing brake light would stop flashing.

When you installed the pads did you release the bleeder screw on the caliper when you push the pistons back into the caliper you may of pushed air into the system, you may have to bleed the front brakes.

Try taking some of the brake fluid out to get it to the full mark when the fluid is hot. Being hot it expands . Maybe this could be part of the problem? Again depending how much over full it is.

You got air in the Proportioning valve that controls the front and rear brakes, and because of this the light got set off.

Ok I have bleed the brakes, and still the brake light flashes. I don't have a clue what is wrong with my system. I'm gonna fiddle with the Emergency brakes. I think after that, its gonna take a trip to the mechanics shop. If anyone got any ideas, please let me know

It’s on the driver side front hub. The wire/sensor connector is on the inner fender well. Since you removed calipers maybe the wire/sensor was damaged. But usually the cruise stops working when they go bad.

I have figured it out. So my e brakes are not adjusted correctly. I placed my truck in Neutral and placed the emergency brake on and checked to see if it moves while the E-brake on and I pushed it no problem. Then the brake light started to flash and kept flashing. So now I'm gonna have a friend help me adjust my brakes when he gets back in town. I'm at 99.9% that its the problem (emergency brakes).
