Brake lights

Hello. New here. Hoping I can get some info on my 2005 ram 1500. Brake lights won't turn off. I've replaced the switch to no avail. Lights stay on when I unplug the switch. I have to disconnect the battery when parked. Any input would be appreciated.

Hello. New to this forum. I bought a 2005 ram 1500 4x4. Has 137000 kms . The brake lights won't go out. I've replaced the switch but doesn't seem to be the problem. The lìghts stay on when I unplug the switch. I have to disconnect the battery. Any input would be appreciated.

Remove the switch and plug it in and have someone see if the lights go out when you push the button in on the switch. Sometimes you have to pull the button all the way out before installing the switch.
