Brake noise

Hey all, Does anyone have annoying brake binding niose during low speed.I mean hearing calipers or pads binding?? Dealer no help put claim in with FCA 2018 cc hemi 8100 miles Thanks

Hey all, With the help of FCA the dealer was made to put all new pads on my truck 2018 CC. The dealer mechanics could find nothing wrong, but I made a demonstration to the service manager,and he said they will order all new pads.I have to give them truck this coming Tuesday evening.I'll let you all know how it turned out after that. I had mine looked at when I had some recall work done. My brakes squeak bad 2016 33k miles. They inspected the pads and said the pads and rotors are fine. The reason the squeak is because they are semi metallic. I've never had semi metallic brakes squeak. So annoyed!

I even took the service manager for a ride and everytime I touch the brakes it squeaks, couldn't believe he said that was normal!

You can get rid of those squeaks by bedding your pads and seasoning the rotors.

Also, a little copper grease on the brake pad backing plates will help a LOT in quieting them down.

Yep. I use a permatex product for the pad backing plates. It stops the squeaks. There really isn't much in terms of shims or noise abatement materials on the backs of these pads.

FWIW, I just pulled all the brakes apart on my 2017 Ram at 21k miles to clean and lube them due to noise.

Hey all, Update ,dropped off truck yesterday at dealer after work,got rental their paying for.Its not done at present time? I will let you all know how it turned out when they fix or try to fix it.Thank You

I have a bottle of this, been using it for a long time. On several vehicles. Worth every penny.

FWIW, I have a 2014 and am pushing 40,000 miles, no problems with brakes yet (knock on wood) so I havnt had them apart yet on this truck.

I had a similar issue only right before a complete stop and right when releasing the brakes, I got
tired of being told it was normal and replaced the front pads with new bosch ceramics and problem solved....

That's the stuff! Purple, sticky and does wonders on pad backs.

hey all, had truck at dealer they were going to replace all 4 brakes.I picked up truck they only changed fronts? service manager said he ordered all 4 and they were to change all 4,but did not.F**ked up dealer?
I called FCA and started another claim cause when i picked up truck after dealer having it 3 days,problem still there even worse.I demonstrated the issue to the service manager for the 2nd time.
Today I called FCA and put my foot down on them and told them it NEEDS to be wright and repaired properly,I am done dealing with this dealer let FCA push them or I will go to BBB I told FCA,and will tell the dealer the same. Sorry but they are just stupid. thanks

Well got truck back on Monday thought it was better for 2 days about 60 miles or so.They said they deglazed the pads and rotors and lubed them per Chrysler spec,but today it seems the issue is still there.If I do a hard stop then the next regular slow speed stop is all good,no binding noise.If I do a few stops like being in bumper to bumper traffic the binding noise is there?? Upon releasing the brakes in gear when truck just stats to move slow it sounds like binding grinding noise. what tricks are there for this.I never had any other brake issues with any Dodge products my whole life? Thank You

dead issue teshey will not and say its normal. Never had an issue with any dodge brakes in my life except these. this blows. good truck but brake system sucks
