I’ve got my 2500 Laramie 4x4 long box being delivered tomorrow and something I cannot seem to find is the front and rear rotor sizes and what the largest/tallest tire I can fit without a lift. I plan on getting new wheels and tires before next summer and need a little help.

I know my options list shows 285/60/20 installed from the factory but I’d like a much smaller wheel size (17”) and a bit taller sidewall (75). Width can stay the same—don’t care much. Does anyone know if a 285/75/17 will fit without any rubbing and can clear the brake rotors? This size will almost equal the speed shown as the factory size.

Yes thats a great size tire. Power wagons come with 17” wheels and have same brakes. Aev wheels clear no problem if you want that style. No issues running 35’s eitherB8C5D564-8C6D-4FBA-BD2B-ACF8EBB0197C.jpeg

I'm running 285/75/17's and they clear fine; I like the size. The tire shop needs to be careful on the placement of the stick on weights; the clearance is close enough that if they place them in the wrong spot they will hit the brake caliper. I had an annoying noise when I left the tire shop after a rotation and balance and couldn't figure it out, so I went back and found the stick on weight was hitting the caliper. Tire was rebalanced and all was good.
I have a 2.5" level, so I can't speak to how it looks on a stock height truck.

A power wagon comes stock from the factory with 17” wheels on 285/70/17 tires. The brake set up is the same on all 2500’s so shouldn’t have any issues clearing calipers
