Broken Tailgate Rod clip replacement

New to this forum, but not to these trucks.

I had the clip on the tailgate rod snap. No one sells a clip specifically for a 1st Gen, but the clips for 99-07 GM/Chev look really similar. Anyone have any experience with these clips? Do they work? Is there another clip that would work better? Thanks in advance.

For any of you interested: The GM rod clips from Amazon work perfectly. Comes in a set of 4, 2 in green and 2 in red.

Thanks for the post. Mine broke and I tried the Dorman variety pack and couldn't get the ones that looked like they work to snap into the hole on the handle. i'll try the GM's.
