Bubbling & Detached Leather Dash

Hi all - I have 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 Limited. The leather dash has completely bubbled and is literally detaching from the dashboard. Im told this is not covered under warranty. I’m at 51k miles. The dealer quoted $2800 to replace it. Is there a recall on this? It’s insane I spent so much on this truck and this is happening? Please help.

No…I did not bother to search because I am new and did not know how to navigate this site. I Am just trying to find help and was told to post here. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I contacted Rama area about mine but have yet to see any response.

Ram has clearly not corrected the problem and makes me question if Ram really does “care”….

The bubbling dash is a well-known issue that seems to be centered around 2020 production and the Limited trimmed vehicles. I've seen posts where warranty covered the repair but that may have been on trucks that still were under the factory warranty period. You would think RAM would cover this regardless of the ODO or the three years of warranty.

RAM cares is a placebo, they have no power to get anything accomplished. If anything, they add to the timeline it takes to resolve an issue. I'm sure some folks were helped by them, but for me, they just prolonged the pain.

.... and Toyota replaced my defective dash on my 2009 Camry in 2017. Under warranty/ campaign. Go figure.

Yup! Dilatory tactics have replaced heel clicking "Yes Sir!" timely stellar service. The attitude that consumers are fungible by many businesses has really grown over the years. Yet, the consumer doesn't vote with their dollars by purchasing products and services elsewhere. This has led to arrogant, hubristic, galvanized cultures in big companies.
