Do you have to disable the parking sensors with this bar?

Unfortunately; Yes. The front sensors sound off with it attached. Thankfully, RAM gave us the ability to turn it off.

But, I don't mind having the front alert deactivated at all. I can now use the visible tops of the vertical bars to better reference how far away I am from things. And, unlike the rear, without the camera and varied visual and audible pitch as one got closer to something to help out, it seemed more of an annoyance than anything else prior to shutting it off.

Iron Bull "Defender 4" recently added. This is a 1500 but they make it for the 2500 as well. Lovin it (except my Bushwhacker flares no longer work so I am toying around with these for now).

I saw this set on a truck at Home Depot the other day. What do y’all think about these? I took as many pics as I could. a86576c564273e55a524224d57c5f497.jpg83c0b3de9fc75f00b901ede336bebdbc.jpg8737c17d9330ead5113c29ea51c784ba.jpg87b95f36410263fdbdfaa4b57edc5584.jpg296718de065e762f7dbb73c70620c5f8.jpg0b7cee7917a4b18ec37c4d713d3644da.jpg0a6201b9902e861f20705883d45f4d01.jpg87b95f36410263fdbdfaa4b57edc5584.jpg

I really like this bull bar. More into the simpler ones like this one.
Does the winch hook latch on to the stock circle thingies(sorry can’t think of what they’re called right now)without it rubbing on the bull bar?

My setup is custom, and my truck is a 1500, but I have a winch behind the bumper, in a similar location to the power wagons.
I already had the bull bar when I was designing the bracketry for mounting the winch, so Ijist added mounting points for the bull bar to the winch mount. This allowed me to mount the bar a little higher, and out of the way of the winch cable. As an added bonus, I didn’t loose any approach angle from having the bar mount below the bumper.

Muddie12, I would love to do the hidden winch on my 2014, did you weld, use custom brackets or what? Do you have a picture of how you connected the plate to the frame?

I started with a “universal” mounting plate, which I then had to modify to fit. I had to trim a little off, and then had to make and weld on brackets to make it fit the truck.

Hare are a few pics that I have.
These brackets are welded to the under side of the winch plate, and bolt to the factory tow hook mounts.

The are also vertical brackets that come down from the ends of the frame rails, and are welded to the plate.

If I were to do it again, I would simply put a reinforced 1/4” plate across the ends of the frame, and mount the winch to the back of it. However, doing it that way would mount the winch slightly higher, and may require enlarging the opening in the bumper. That may not be a concern with your ‘14 though, as I believe the newer bumpers do not have a pre-existing hole.

Here’s a pic from the mock up. I was taking measurements and making adjustments to get the cable fairlead to line up with the hole in the bumper.

I would like to see the brackets you made for that chrome push gaurd. I have one off of my old F150 07
and want to put it on my 2018 Ram 1500 but can not find the brackets to do it so figure will have to make them.
