On this past Monday May 20th I went into a dealer who had the exact Ram I wanted. I searched the entire country for a loaded black on black with the V6 eTorque. Only one turned up. ( there were about a dozen in different colors and some not limited ed.) I checked cars.com, Ram/Jeep website search, Auto Trader, KBB, TrueCar and several more. Then on Sunday night after repeatedly looking I found it! Crazy the dealer was only 22 miles from my house. The dealers here in Texas, are giving discounts from $8-11,000.00. I got 9.5K off, at the last moment they pulled out a paper with a 2K fee, it was for nitro in the tires, wheel locks and etching for theft. LOL!!! This service/fee is nothing more that a con job. I told them I was there to buy on the spot, however this BS had to get crossed out or I'm going to my favored dealer where I bought my Summit. I showed him the package I had with the Hemi's and he knew I was serious to walk. "let me talk to my boss" In a few minutes the entire deal was wrapped up. I'll pick up my Limited all optioned out excluding the tow package. I never tow, and fyi...adding a tow package will eliminate your ability to get the 360 degree cameras. ( A must have for me.) So this ride was exactly what I imagined in a perfect dream. I pick it up tomorrow,Thursday. I'm feeling like a young boy! Their Maximum care numbers were crazy, I passed. Yesterday morning I called Ziegler Crysler/Jeep/Ram and negotiated Maximum Care 8 years and 125000 miles with a $200 deductible for under $2200. I checked out two other noted discount dealers and they both were a few hundred more. Best thing one can do is use your computer to research all the facts and prices. Many dealers will show you the sticker price and what they want for a selling price on their online website, my negotiation started with their "selling" price. They didn't make much profit as they wanted on me, no trade and no finance! I pushed hard for some after items and they agreed, however they wanted me to cover the install. I told them i'll take the items please put them on the back seat floor and i'll enjoy doing the installation myself. a few bolts to install the gate step. I think this was the best dealer experience I ever had, In the past going to the dealer reminded me of going for root canals. Dealers still suck! My young salesman was exceptionally awesome and he knew the product as good as I did. Cheers!
