$46k seems reasonable for a '18 Mega cab. Miles are a bit high for the age but nothing to worry about as long as it was maintained properly.

I am personally a huge fan of new cars. Owning a car from day 1 reassures me of a car well taken care of by myself. Buying a used car carries the risk of the previous owner abusing the car and of course that would cost additional money for fixing and might not last as long as buying new. B

That’s a lot of miles for approx 2 year old truck. I get that it can handle it, but still......

Gas or diesel? There’s a fire truck red one here CTD for $47 but could be gotten for a lot less.

Lots of miles? Gas or Diesel? Well maintained? Any recalls done? Receipts? Proof of MX, etc etc, lots of questions. Best have good tires on it also, just saying, like new ones...ALl IMHO.

Added: Lots of questions and where do U feel happy with?

PLUS: Do what works for U and make sure U get truck checked out by a good certified mechanic U trust...

The dealership where this red one is I trust fully and tires are brand new. NO I’m not in the market for another truck. At least not till the 2020PW rolls out.

How about the sales records? Did it change hands several times in a short span of time? What about recalls? The titles? Perhaps, there also repairs that were done in the past due to accidents? I suggest you review a carfax or an alternative before handing over your money.

Factory warranty is important on these trucks and your at the end on drive train warranty because of the mileage.

Power train warranty is 5y/100k on the 18’s. B2B is 3y/36k.

I would beat them up on the price due to high mileage vs age and nearly expired warranty. I am sure they beat up the previous owner for that so might as well return the favor. Negotiate a discount on the selling price. Once they agree in writing, then ask for an extended warranty as part of the deal. It is not like sales are through the roof now. They want cash badly to cover operating expenses and you have it.

Yep, I know you're spot on.

OP, think about getting a Mopar Max Care extended service contract on the truck.

Looks like this is an older thread that got woken up? The OP was from August of last year.
