I'm in the process of doing the rear seat modification and replacing the cab vents in my 2014. being on a fixed income and a known tightwad I spent more time looking for a "deal' than it was worth but alos wanted to share my experience with the hope that it may help another.
I finally bought a pair of what are supposed to be OEM vents of an ebay seller Norther Lights. Waited abut a week for them to show up. They were in a plastic USPS shipping bag and unbelievably they were damaged (GO FIGURE). What flippin moron expected the parts to make it here undamaged being tossed in a plastic bag????
So I contact the seller sending them several pictures of the broken parts still sealed in the "factory"? packaging as well as the damaged USPS shipping bag. i ask for prompt replacements to be sent properly packaged or a refund.
They respond with start a return through EBAY. Blood pressure is rising.
So I proceed through that circle jerk and now change to just requesting a refund. I notify them the return request is filed. Dead silence. they have until he 19th to respond which IMO is BULL
I proceed to call the local dealer, they of course have them in stock ~ 2.00 less as my wholesale acct is still active.
I do note they are packaged completely differently that n the ones I received.
Moral to the story, don't be such a tightwad, and be leery of online sellers
:rolleyes: :happy160:

But that’s the best part of buying car parts on eBay, when it shows up damaged you can negotiate a partial or even full refund and get to keep the part :Big Laugh:

Probably knock-off Chinese parts. eBay buyer protection should be able to help if the seller is ghosting you.

If I recall, my OEM ones from dealer (in actual MOPAR wrappers) were only $22 for the pair.

There's a point where trying to save 2 bux is foolhardy.

Agreed 100% and I've been guilty of that more than once. I found it interesting that you commented yours were WRAPPED. I say so because the ones I bought from the dealer were also wrapped, but the ****** bay ones were in large plastic bags with the Mopar logo part #'s etc printed on one side which was white, with the other side being clear. I suspect a scam
i will get my $$ back but it certainly me more in the long run :emotions122::emotions122::emotions122:
Should start a post on stupid mistakes made while trying to save a buck :rolleyes::doh2:
Another example:
I was quoted 1200.00 to install two new garage doors. Local big box ad the for 500.00 complete with spring etc. HMM how hard can it be???
OK problem #1. Torsional vs Longitudal springs :doh2: . back o the store. There were several other :wtf2:'s along the way and many more trips to the HW store. End result 2 days with a friend helping and final cost ~ 800.00.
You'd think I'd learn after 71 years. :shocked::pp:
