Cabin size !!

Hi;Dumb question.... Is the interior space or hole cabin of the 1500 2019 the same as the 2500?In the Ram page all interior specifications are the same.I had the impression the 2500 interior space was much bigger

I believe it's actually the opposite of that, the 2019 1500's have the 'new' bigger cab, and the 2500 has the previous 4th generation cab. If I remember correctly, this is why you can only get the dual pane sunroof in the 1500's and not the 2500's.

Now a mega cab on the other hand I'm sure is a different story.

Yep. 2019 2500 cabin same as previous models. The 1500 is bigger inside.

Just sit in any 4th gen. The 2500 cabin is the same.

At 6' 8", i share your problem. I came to my 2017 1500 from a ford F 250. I just barely can make the 1500 work. The super duty was vastly larger on the inside.

You're welcome and yeah that's got to make things tough...I'm only 6'2" so plenty of space in any of the cabs for a small guy like me (don't say that often). Unfortunately as others have mentioned if the new body style 1500 doesn't have enough room, a 2500 won't either.

I came from a F250 as well and there is more front head room, but the leg space in back is much bigger in the ram crew cab than my super duty crew cab.

thanks,for what I have seen on videos the mega cab just adds space to the rear,I am looking for head room for me on the front.

Correct. The all new HD uses the same cab/bed as the 18 1500/2500/3500 but uses a new front clip and the all new interior with all the fancy gadgets.

But with a new chassis & powertrain.

Make sure you test a model with the electric seat you can lower. It will buy you some headroom. Ram shares the cab's between all their models. I don't feel like the 5th gen bigger cab is bigger up front just the back. I think they said they lowered the roof 1" so it could be worse. The telescoping steering wheel in the 5th gen is nice for us tall people.
