This thing goes by many names. It's for all 2500 14+ models. Part #68216944aa. It becomes a different part # in 19+. Part #68449574aa. The only difference I could see from pictures is the electrical connection. 14-18 part for for around $400 for OEM. The 19+ is about $200.

I did a lot of searching and found that AAM makes their own part for their axle. Imagine that. That part goes for about $150. I found it for $135. They are the exact same part. So hopefully this helps save someone. Part #:40116533

It often pays off to track down the actual manufacturer of assemblies and parts: Some Ferraris use the same fuel pumps as Kias, some Bentley parts are the same as VW/Audi, McLaren MP4-12C ignition coils are the same as late 2000s Nissan Sentras....

So where did you get the new one from? I’m about to have to tear into mine. 4wd serv light in pretty sure it’s the cad lol

I got mine from here.

I got mine from the same place.

Mine got moisture in it and was causing the fork to slightly engage.

You can pull the transfer case selector switch and test it with a dmm. It should give you 4 different resistance readings as the switch is pushed in. Just to rule that out.

the one a dealer sells is the aam which is the same one from c&m. the price difference is because the dealer upcharge. no difference in the part
