This is definitely a lot harder than what I thought it'd be. And is the headlight as soon as I sprayed it, it started to bubble up. I put on adhesive promoter.
If the inside of the headlight was chrome it would need to be sanded pretty well to get the paint to stick I would imagine. In the same way the bumpers need to be sanded.
I had similar problems with the Duplicolor "Shadow" Chrome tint.
It created a whole lot of F'n work. Fortunately the shrouds on the Gen III headlights are big and flat. Just sand them all REAL good with 400(ish) grit. Get through all the old bubbly paint and through the shine on the chrome. Then hit em with the adhesion promoter. Be sure to read the directions. The promoter I've used needs to be coated within 5-10 minutes!
