Camera issues -2022 Longhorn

2022 Longhorn with 22k, approx 13,000 mi. Love it but recently lost my Surround Camera and my backup cam isn’t giving me the guiding lines. The lines aren’t a huge deal however I do find them nice to have. And seeing I’m supposed to have them of course I want them. The bigger deal is the surround camera which I love in tight spots especially since I haven’t regularly driven a pick up truck in 25 years and I came from my car to the pick up. In tight spots I pop it on and it really helps. I literally back into every spot, it’s an old habit I’ve done it with cars vans trucks and I find having both views on this beast is awesome.

I have a feeling this happened when I took it to the dealer for an issue with the tailgate sensor. Software update maybe?

It seems like people have issues after software updates. I don’t have a ton of time to run it back-and-forth to the dealer for this but I thought I would ask here to see if anybody has a quick fix for it like the CarPlay issues. Someone had a quick fix it worked like a charm and I was on my way.

Otherwise I cannot tell you how happy I am with the longhorn. It’s like having the comfort of a Mercedes Benz with all of the utility and usefulness of a pick up truck.

When did the dealer have it for the tailgate issue and when did the problem start? I would first try to look at the harness at the tailgate to make sure its plugged in properly since you said they did something with the sensor. Make sure wires didnt get pinched anywhere. Then I'd disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes and see if that helps. By disconnecting the battery you're doing kind of a soft reset to the trucks systems. I dont have the surround cameras but I had a problem with the back up camera and the battery disconnect did correct it and I havent had that problem since. If that doesnt work then I'd definitely take it back to the dealer and let them take care of it

There is a settings button you can scroll and find the cameras and turn the lines back on, had a similar issue on my 2019. once I reset everything it has been okay

a couple of owners wrote that a day or two after the dealer messed up the 3rd brake light digital camera, not the cargo cam, that they received a OTA update & everything seems to be working again

When in doubt, and as much as a pain it is to set back up all your preferences, do a hard reset.

Not yet, I was considering taking it back to the dealership. The screen is doing some odd “blinking” when I turn the wipers on and off now so I’d rather not toy with it myself while under warranty.

My 2017 1500 couldn’t remember a radio preset from one drive to the next ever the entire time I owned it. I just learned to use my phone Bluetooth audio. Hopefully they have some of this sorted before my new one is built. Unfortunately I think they have time.
