I like the way that grill guard looks. Does it give any problems going through a car wash?

I haven't hand washed anything but my Motorcycle since I sold my last Corvette. I always get the basic wash because the truck always has a good coat of wax on it. Since the arrival of the Three dollar car wash, there are several here now, I don't see myself going back to hand washing anytime soon.

Thanks to everyone that commented. Mine is a 2016 OEM Limited Grille. It was originally chrome and I had a local body shop color match the outer ring and the "nostrils" that come in. The rest is stock, so you get the chrome RAM letters and slats, Slats are mounted on black plastic just like OEM.

Its been on for about 3 months and I noticed my first tiny chip mark today. They warned me it would be possible to chip it, just like an OEM painted grille.

Is it chipping off naturally or from little rock hits here and there? I would think it would be hard to have this part of the ram colormatched.

Has anyone tried hydro dipping their grill

I bought the truck last July, and the grill inserts came with it, as did the majority of mods in my signature. It is set up just about the way I would have done it myself.

Before and after pic. I found an extra chrome grille that i had painted but it didnt hold up to driving in the rain so i found a oem painted surround thats being painted now that should hold up better. Not much custom work. But i think the black looks way better. I like chrome, not a huge fan of blacked out but that was to much chrome in one spot. The inserts are still chrome.

I think yours would look really good with a red surround with chrome inserts.
