Hey guys I was gonna go all out on the lights I want but they're gonna be close to 2000$ but for that much money I could do some mods to the lights myself and still get a new exhaust system, cai and the fender flares I want. Just wondering your guys thoughts on this and instead of going all out on the lights maybe just get better than stock bulbs? Thanks.

$2000??? What were you trying to do?

Up to you and where you drive. Depending on what parts you buy, the Exhaust, CAI, and flares will put you in between the 1 to 2K mark.

I'm in Alberta as well. For the CAI... look at Moe's. His shipping price to us was unbelievable. What he quoted was exactly what I paid. Nothing required but a signature. I couldn't get it in Canada for less. Shipping included.

I'd assume for ~$2k you're looking at '13 Projectors with FX-Rs.
I'd hope so anywho, and if this is your thoughts, DO IT.

You'll love it every time you turn on those headlights!

Through some PIAA's up there for 300 and you can do both. If you doubled that and had the yellows small ones for fog and some bigger round white ones on a light bar, pretty much going to handle anything for 600. I'm a little old school, I know lighting is cool but I can't see spending 2000 when I know what 300 can do for a truck, since you are asking for opinions. If you do choose those 2k lights, post them up I would like to "see" that.

Check this out.

The thing you can't really tell is how good PIAA's peripheral lighting is, even the fog lights light up the entire road way past what the focus is. The fog lights alone are ten times better then the stock head lights. And I never had oncoming traffic flash me because I'm too bright. I never had anything else so I can't comment past that, but I was super impressed with the PIAA's.

91 reviews of the PIAA's and a 9.67 rating, not bad? Only one rated higher but it only had 1 review. I am not saying it is better then 2k headlights at all, but it is one hell of an upgrade past stock. IMO when mounted on bumper it is much more natural looking then when mounted on roof, that was a major considering when watching the youtube.,

Upgrade the lighting fo sho. Our headlights SUCKS. There is no if, and or but. In fact, it's a safety issue and someone at Dodge should be kicked in the ballz for allowing these 6,000+lb beasts out the door when they can't see what they're doing in the dark.
Our stock intakes are quite efficient. CAIs make sound at WOT but so does a nicely constructed ram-air tune and upgraded filter media in your stock intake. My S&B setup was a complete waste of money.
As far as exhaust. only the muffler and maybe the Y pipe need to be changed; it is quick, easy and cheap.
Upgrade your lights.

Most states only allow for so many forward lights, not to mention the incosistancy (hot spots vs grey area) that are produced. The video you linked to shows this perfectly.

There isn't a nice wide spread of clean useful light.
IMO: Great lights cost a lot because they're great.

For that kind of money I say go with the exhaust option you listed. You will get more bang for the buck.

If you look at my set-up... you'll see what close to 2K looks like. All in.. Not over... but under 2k (not by a huge amount but still under). Delete the halos and the Matchbox Morimoto's in the hi's and the cost goes down substantially. The shutters drop in the lows and they become hi's as well.

I have had people flash me with the 6K in the stock fog housings on when driving on a 2 lane road or hwy.

I've aimed my low's to spec.... no flashes there.

Heaven help the poor ******* that flashes me if I hit the "flash to pass" and my fogs are on at the same time. Same with people that drive with their Hi on all the time.

Yeah I just keep switching back and forth. They're really nice lights, but I feel like doing the other stuff would be accomplishing more with the money if that makes sense.

For 2 grand those headlights better have laser beams.

I'd go exhaust and flares and just upgrade your bulbs.
