carpet replacement

hello guys, need some advice on carpet. its time to replace my carpet in my 2004 dodge ram 2500 4wd. i can't fined any videos on how to remove the 4wd shifter boot and small console. i dont want to damage anything because i intend to put it up for sale after new carpet is in. can anyone tell me how to get it out without destroying it in the process.

Are you going carpet or vinyl? Im thinking about doing mine.The leather boot comes out first. Then I think there are screws you can get to to remove the housing.To remove the knob pop off the shift cap and the knob is bolted on.

Yup you were right, got the shift knob off and got to the three screws holding the console on. I am putting back in cloth carpet
