Carven Competitor or progressive

2018 Ram - I have it narrowed down to Carven, now it is between the competitor or progressive. Help me make up my mind. what say you guys?

I put the Progressive on mine. I've been told by friends, who used to hear me coming when I had my 2010 with a Flowmaster 40 series, they don't hear me as well anymore. However, cold starts are awesome!! Not too bad of a drone at highway speeds, though when you get on it to pass or coming up to highway speeds, or speeding up in general you hear it!

Plus they are pretty easy to change out. I am no mechanic by any stretch, it took me and a buddy about an hour to get it changed.

Depends if you want loud or really loud . Tone of the Progressive sounds a bit better to my ear...I almost went that route, but thought it'd be a little too loud. The Comps sound like they can get a little raspy....at least in the videos I've listened to. Carven is a great choice....get the 5" tips to go along with whatever system you purchase.

Depends if you want loud or really loud .

Pretty much this. I have the progressive and I love it. I can't imagine having the competitor though, because the progressive is plenty loud.

I have the progressive and think its great,loud when you want it quiet when you dont.Though at times I wish it was louder,only at times. The over all is Progressive best of both worlds. Thanks

I love my progressive. Specially when I have MDS turned off. No drone when it is off.

tone wise competitor is raspier, and it is louder

I am making the switch from 18" Magnaflow. Placed the order @ (Got Exhaust) last night for Carven progressive to finally match their 5"tips I've had on. Can't wait for a little more noise.

I’m still deciding between the Progressive and Borla XR1 myself, but I know down the road I will want some performance gains from my exhaust as well so I’m not sure what to do at this time. Would be nice to hear the Hemi more though.

Carven Progressive here...also have the Carven 5" tips.

No raspiness...at all...through the entire powerband. Nice and rumbly.

The Carven outsells ALL exhausts for the RAM by FAR! The Progressive is the more popular choice of the 2 muffler options.

I’m still deciding between the Progressive and Borla XR1 myself, but I know down the road I will want some performance gains from my exhaust as well so I’m not sure what to do at this time. Would be nice to hear the Hemi more though.

I do not know what the Carven sounds like,

The Borla is just freaking crazy, no wrasp at all, just sounds like you can stay in the gas forever

Definanlty a racing product as it will scream and sounds super mean , came from a 14" magnaflow

It is loud but has a smoothness the magnaflow lacked
